    About this recipe: An easy homemade mustard sauce made with French Dijon mustard and creme fraiche. Serve with anything from pork to chicken to sausage.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 25g butter
    • 1/2 onion, chopped
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 150ml chicken stock
    • 150ml creme fraiche
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Melt the butter in a hot frying pan. Add the onions and cook and stir till softened.
    2. Add the flour. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
    3. Begin gradually adding the chicken stock, stirring constantly. Bring to the boil to thicken slightly.
    4. Stir in the creme fraiche, mustard and seasoning. Serve and enjoy!

    Tip

    For the most flavour, first cook your meat of choice, then use the same pan to make the sauce.
