Chunky chocolate chip cookies

    These are basic chocolate chip cookies that pretty much anyone can make, but they taste so good at the same time.

    Makes: 18 cookies

    • 150g chocolate (of your choice)
    • 100g butter
    • 75g caster sugar
    • 50g brown sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 150g plain flour

    1. Preheat the to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
    2. Break the chocolate into squares and put into a plastic bag. With a rolling pin, break the chocolate into chunks (alternatively, you can use chocolate chips).
    3. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugars and beat together until fluffy. Add the egg and beat until creamy. Mix in the vanilla extract then fold in the flour and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chunks (or chips) then place cookie-sized drops onto the prepared tray, allowing for spread.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and firm. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack before serving.

    My first time to make cookies,great easy recipe, instead of vanilla I put orange zest and orange essence,yum,I love choc and orange together.The cookies turned out better Than I expected😀  -  26 Sep 2015
