225g soft margarine

275g self raising flour

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 20x30cm cake tin and line with baking parchment.
Combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat until well combined. Pour into the prepared cake tin.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin. Using the baking parchment to help you, lift the cake out of the tin then either decorate to taste or cut into squares to serve.
