Dark cherry choc protein flapjacks

    Oats are a great food for your workout or diet as they keep hunger at bay whilst delivering a great dose of carbs. We've added dark chocolate and cherries to this recipe but you can add whichever ingredients you fancy!

    Serves: 2 

    • 120g rolled oats
    • 100g natural peanut butter
    • 60g vanilla Sci-MX ULTRA WHEY™ PROTEIN or GRS 9-HOUR® PROTEIN
    • 150ml skimmed milk or almond milk
    • 15g good quality honey
    • a few squares dark chocolate (90%), melted
    • chopped dark cherries, to taste

    1. Lightly grease a small baking tin and line with baking parchment.
    2. In a mixing bowl combine the oats and protein powder and mix well. Gradually mix in the peanut butter and milk followed by the honey and the cherries.
    3. Transfer to the prepared baking tin and press down the back of a spoon to compact the mixture. Chill in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove the tin from the fridge.
    4. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Once cooled, brush a thin layer of chocolate over the top. Slice and serve.
