About this recipe:This method was picked up from numerous sources but me adding my own content online will hopefully save someone's dish and allow them to produce perfectly cooked rice every time too! This recipe is for a single serving, so adjust according to the number you are feeding.
Place the rice in a saucepan then add the water. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to the boil then reduce to a simmer. Cook until the water evaporates, stirring frequently, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and cover, trapping the moisture that will come from the rice. Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Just prior to serving, remove the lid and fluff with a fork. Serve immediately.
Increase size of pan based on quantity of rice, common sense applies here.
