This baked cheesecake has a chocolate biscuit base, with a creamy orange filling and is finished off with a smooth chocolate icing. If you love the combination of orange and chocolate - you'll love this dessert!
Preheat oven to 160 C / Gas 3. Butter a 25cm round cake tin and line the bottom and sides with baking parchment so that the paper sits up above the rim.
Mix crushed chocolate biscuits with melted butter until combined; press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared cake tin to form the base of the cheesecake. Refrigerate the base until ready to fill.
Mix cream cheese and whipping cream together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and caster sugar together until well combined. Stir beaten egg mixture into cream cheese mixture; add orange extract and orange juice. Fold in 3 tablespoons of potato starch.
Pour filling onto biscuit base; bake in preheated oven, on the middle rack, for about 70 to 80 minutes, until set. The centre might still be a little wobbly but turn off the oven and leave the door ajar to allow the cheesecake to cool gradually inside the oven.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat; stir in cocoa powder and whipping cream. Add sugar to suit your taste. Set icing aside to cool slightly then pour over cooled cheesecake.
