About this recipe: 5-ingredient, no bake brownies that are rich, chocolatey and slightly nutty with the flavour of fresh ginger that really brings them to life. Vegan, raw and gluten-free with no added sugar for a healthy treat or dessert.

Makes: 8 raw brownies

  • 200g stoned dates, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mixed seeds
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 (4 cm) piece root ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, plus extra to dust

Prep:8min  ›  Extra time:30min chilling  ›  Ready in:38min 

  1. Combine all of the ingredients together into a high-powered food processor and blend until combined.
  2. In a small baking tray, dust the bottom with a light layer of cocoa powder. Press the brownie mix into the tray – you can level it out and get rid of your thumb prints by rolling a cup across the top.
  3. Dust the top of the brownies with a light coating of cocoa powder. Place in the fridge for at least thirty minutes. Slice into bars and enjoy!
