Gluten free almond pancakes

    Yummy pancakes that are naturally wheat and gluten free. Ground almonds are used for this simple recipe - a refreshing change from all those gluten free recipes with hard to find ingredients.

    Makes: 4 to 6 pancakes

    • 125g ground almonds
    • 60ml water
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon oil

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl until batter is smooth.
    2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat; drop batter by large spoonfuls into the pan, and cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip, and cook until browned on the other side, 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

    Just made these, I stuck to the recipe as I am new to gluten free, and I enjoyed them, maybe once I have more experience with this new way of eating I'll try different things, but for now they were delicious!  -  02 Feb 2017


    I used honey instead of syrup but it was not sweet enough with 1 tablespoon so I added an tablespoon of honey and entire banana to make it sweet enough I also added 2 teaspoons of vanilla. It was delicious this way.  -  08 Feb 2014  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    We made these yesterday and they were delicious! My husband thought it was "too eggy" So we used one egg, one whisked egg white, and greek yogurt this time, and man oh man was it a game changer!
