    About this recipe: This is simple but so nice. The chopped tomatoes I use are the ones that come in the carton with herbs added. I prefer this to the tinned ones as they can make this too 'tangy'. Serve with garlic bread.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 3 

    • 300g diced beef
    • 1 packet mixed casserole vegetables
    • 1 carton chopped tomatoes with herbs
    • 1 beef Oxo cube, dissolved in hot water
    • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    Method

    1. Preheat the slow cooker to Low.
    2. Combine all of the ingredients in the slow cooker and add enough water so it just covers the meat and veg. Give a good stir and cover. Cook on Low for 8 hours until the beef is tender. Spoon into warmed bowls and serve.
