Preheat the slow cooker to High.
Combine all of the ingredients into the slow cooker, except the milk, and cook on High for 30 minutes. Reduce to low and cook for 2 to 3 hours until the vegetables are tender. Once tender, add the milk and blend to a smooth consistency using a hand held liquidiser or food processor. Serve in warmed bowls.
