Melt the syrup, butter and chocolate in a double boiler. Add cornflakes and mix well until evenly coated.
Press this mixture into lightly greased ramekin dishes and hollow up the sides to make 12 little cases and leave to cool and set.
When set turn out dishes and fill each case with fruit of your choice.
Whip up cream with sugar and your chosen liqueur (see footnote below for some tasty ideas of liqueur mixtures).
