Place a little ghee in the bottom of the pressure cooker then add the rice, milk and caster sugar. Lock the cover in place and cook over a high heat until you hear the first whistle.
Reduce the heat to low and cook for a further 30 minutes until the mixture is thick and creamy. Transfer into a serving bowl and top with cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom and serve. Alternatively you can chill before serving.
