    About this recipe: This is a quick and easy to prepare meal for any time of the day. It should only take about 15 minutes. The textures of the soft buttered crumpet, topped with well cooked sausage with gooey cheese, and runny egg is an exquisite combination.

    Serves: 1 

    • oil, as needed for cooking
    • 1 square Lorne sausage
    • 1 crumpet
    • 1 egg
    • 1 slice cheese of your choice
    • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon butter

    1. Warm a little oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and add the sausage. Cook until no longer pink in the centre.
    2. When the sausage is ready, pop the crumpet in the toaster. Start frying the egg in the same pan as the sausage and place the cheese on top of the sausage in the pan. Cook the egg to taste, or until the white and yolk are firm.
    3. Spread the crumpets with a little butter and place on a warm plate. Lay the sausage on top then the fried egg on top of that. Serve immediately.
