Peel the heads of garlic and and cut the garlic cloves into slices.
Warm the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook and stir until tender. Add the salt, pepper, almonds and add the beer very slowly whilst mixing. Add the stock and leave to simmer for a couple minutes.
Arrange the drumsticks in an oven proof dish and pour the sauce over. Put some foil paper over the dish to prevent the sauce from drying out.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes before removing the foil. Check to see if chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the centre. Cook the chicken for a little longer if necessary. Remove from the oven and serve.
