Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 900g, 22x13cm (9x5 in) loaf tin.
In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add one egg at a time to the mixture, beating well until pale and creamy. Finally stir in the cream and vanilla extract.
Gradually sift the flour while mixing, then add the baking powder, salt, cinnamon and chocolate chips to the mixture and combine. The mixture should be thick. Spoon into the prepared baking tin.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until a wooden skewer or knife inserted into the centre comes out clean. Remove from the tin and allow to cool.
While the loaf is cooling make the glaze in a small bowl by combining the icing sugar and milk. You can keep adding more icing sugar until you reach desired thickness, then drizzle over the loaf. Slice and serve.
