Burgers born out of boredom. I decided I wanted burgers so just got creative, you might want to play around with quantities but these turned out really nice. Great for BBQs or teatime treats.

Ingredients
Makes: 8 burgers
- 750g lean minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 slices white bread, crumbed
- 1 splash Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 Babybel® mini cheese (or 1 per burger)

- Preheat the BBQ to a medium high heat.
- Mix mince, onion, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, egg and seasoning in a large bowl. Form the mixture into approximately 8 balls, about 1/2 the size you'd like the finished burger to be.
- Push a BabyBel® cheese into the centre of the burger and form the beef all around the cheese. Flatten slightly to form more of a burger shape.
- Place the burgers onto the preheated BBQ and cook for for a total of 6 minutes for medium-rare, 8 minutes for medium, or 10 or more minutes for well done, flipping the burgers once halfway through cooking.
- Remove from the BBQ and serve the burgers in buns, and add extras of your choice, (I made a jalapeño sauce), eat and enjoy!
Tip
Please note, I just threw these together and it worked for me, you might like to play around with the ingredients, please leave a comment if you do something different and it works.
Cooking method
You can also cook these burgers under the grill or in the oven. If under the grill, cook for approximately 8 minutes for medium, flipping once during cooking. If cooking in the oven, bake at 180 C / Gas 4 for approximately 10 to 12 minutes for well done.
