Preheat the oven to 180 C / 160 C fan / Gas 4.
Put the porridge oats and chocolate chips into a mixing bowl and stir till the chocolate chips are truly mixed in with the oats.
Add the golden syrup into the bowl as well and use you hands to mix it all together till nice and gooey, adding extra golden syrup if desired. Grab a handful and shape into little balls and place on a baking tray.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving and enjoying.
