    About this recipe: Chocolate mug cake that is really nice but not for the slimmers! Be creative and come up with different flavours colours toppings and designs! Made in a 900 watt microwave perfect for a quick treat.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 2 tablespoons softened butter
    • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
    • 1 tablespoon demerara sugar (or caster sugar)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 egg white
    • 2 tablespoons self raising flour
    • 2 tablespoons Cadburys® drinking chocolate

    Method

    1. Put your softened butter in your mug and put it in your microwave for 10 seconds. It should be melted or partially melted. Mix in the sugars, vanilla extract and egg white gently. Then fold in your flour and drinking chocolate powder, keep folding until all ingredients are well combined. Do this gently so you don't lose air.
    2. Microwave on full power for 2 minutes in a 900 watt convection oven (adjust if your have a different power oven) or until springy to the touch. Insert a knife into the cake and if it comes out clean your cake is done. Decorate with any toppings or sprinkles you want and dig in.

    Loved it ! Was in a pig mood had nothing in the cupboards so thought I'd try my first mug cake.. I added nutella to the top of it once cooked was lovely - 12 Feb 2016
