Easy bechamel white sauce

    This is the easiest bechamel you will ever make. This sauce is great for lasagne and tuna mornay but you can use it as a base for anything.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 235ml milk
    • 1 pinch salt

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Place all ingredients into a saucepan at once, over a medium heat and whisk until thick. Once thick and simmering cook for 2 minutes to cook the flour out. Use immediately or store in a airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

    Tip

    Once you start making this sauce don't stop whisking until it's thick.

    Cheese sauce

    Add a handful of grated cheese at the end, stir until melted and voila! Cheese sauce.
