Mix all the ingredients together, season to taste and form into small balls. Flatten the balls and shape into mini burgers about 6cm (2 1/2 in) in diameter and place on baking tray. Cover with cling film, put tray in fridge and chill burgers an hour or so.
Preheat the BBQ to a medium high heat.
Remove the burgers from the fridge, brush with a little oil and BBQ on a medium high heat, turning as required, until meat is just cooked through with the juices running freely and clearly, for medium this will be about 7 minutes, flipping once half way through. Remove from the BBQ and serve in small baps or with a salad.
To pan fry:
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in frying pan, Add the burgers to the hot pan and fry for a total of 5 minutes for medium-rare, 7 minutes for medium, or 9 or more minutes for well done, flipping the burgers only once halfway through cooking.
Instead of just doing beef, you can also do a mixture of pork and beef at 65/70% minced beef to 30/35% minced pork.
