Dulce de leche meringue dessert

    This quick and easy dessert is like a trifle but it's glutenfree and made with meringue.

    Serves: 8 

    • 250ml whipping cream
    • 500g dulce de leche
    • milk as needed
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 200g meringues
    • 1 dark chocolate for decorating

    1. In a bowl, beat the cream till stiff.
    2. If the dulce de leche is very stiff, add a little milk to soften, stir till well incorporated. Add vanilla and the dulce de leche and stir with a fork in spiral movements to create a swirl effect.
    3. Distribute the meringue over 8 dessert glasses. Top with dulce de leche mixture.
    4. Use a coarse grater to grate chocolate over each serving. Chill till serving.
