    About this recipe: This is a traditional pasta recipe from Liguria, where the best pesto is from. It's traditionally prepared with trenette, a type of pasta similar to linguine. A classic and simple summer dish.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 150g potatoes
    • 350g trenette or linguine pasta
    • 180g green beans
    • salt, to taste
    • 2 tablespoons pesto

    Method

    1. Peel the potatoes and cut in 5x2cm cubes. Cook in boiling water for 8 to 12 minutes, or until tender.
    2. Cook pasta in salted boiling water with the green beans until "al dente".
    3. Drain pasta and green beans and transfer to a bowl. Reserve 1 ladleful of pasta cooking water.
    4. Add pesto and boiled potatoes to the bowl with some pasta water. Stir, mix and serve.
