About this recipe: A very simple biscuit recipe that makes four very tasty but large biscuits! Ideal when you need a quick biscuit fix but don't want to make a large batch.

Makes: 4 large biscuits

  • 30g butter
  • 15g caster sugar
  • 45g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon water

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. Add butter and sugar to a mixing bowl and mix until light and fluffy. Add the flour then just enough water to bring the mixture together into a ball. Turn the biscuit dough out onto a lightly floured board and roll out. Cut into desired shape.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack. Sprinkle with a little more sugar if you like and enjoy!
