About this recipe:
A very simple British chip muffin. Like a chip butty but using a muffin instead - ideal as a quick snack on the go!
1 potato, peeled and cut into chips
1 white muffin
1 teaspoon butter
- Fry the chips in a deep fat fryer or in a saucepan with hot oil until tender on the inside and crispy and golden brown on the outside.
- In the meantime, cut the muffin in half, toast if desired, and spread with the butter. Place the chips on top and lay the top of the muffin over the chips. Serve with ketchup or just have it plain.
You can also use ready made chips or oven-bake chips.
