200g caster sugar
115g butter, softened
1 tablespoon orange zest
440g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
35g flaked almonds

Preheat oven t0 180 C / Gas 4.
Beat sugar, butter, orange zest and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and almonds.
Shape half of dough at a time into rectangle, 25 x 8cm (10 x 3 in), on ungreased baking parchment. Place onto a baking tray.
Bake about 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool on baking tray for 15 minutes.
Cut into 1.5cm (1/2 in) slices. Place slices cut sides down on baking tray.
Bake about 15 minutes or until crisp and light brown. Remove from baking tray and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.
