Wash the strawberries and cut the leaves off. Make holes into the strawberries that go down to about halfway with a knife.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in a pan over barely simmering water and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and carefully fill the holes with the melted chocolate (standing them upright in an empty ice-cream tray may help) then place them in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes for the chocolate to harden.
When ready to serve, remove the strawberries from the fridge and enjoy with your choice of ice-cream.
You can add some flavourings to the melted chocolate, just mix it in with a wooden spoon.
