Coconut raspberry smoothie

    This coconut raspberry smoothie, with pecans, banana and milled flaxseed is a great way to start the day! It only contains natural sugar from the fruit and has loads of fibre to keep you full. This recipe makes enough for two servings.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 bananas, sliced into chunks
    • 250g frozen raspberries
    • 2 tablespoons pecan nuts
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
    • 1 tablespoon milled flaxseed
    • 1 date, pitted
    • 450ml cold water

    Method

    1. Place bananas, raspberries, pecans, coconut oil, flaxseed and date in a blender; add water. Blend until smooth.

    This was great. I modified a little and used 1.5 banana, and walnuts instead of pecans (because I didn't have any)! I topped it with some chia seeds and a few frozen raspberries! Loved it, will definitely make it again!  -  03 Feb 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
