    About this recipe: This choccy biccy recipe is a fun family recipe which you could do any day or even as a much loved Christmas shortbread by just adding a few blobs of icing. If you are looking for a choccy treat this is definitely the thing for you. What are you waiting for?

    Makes: 12 chocolate shortbread biscuits

    • 175g softened butter
    • 85g golden caster sugar
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 100g chocolate chips (yum!)
    • 200g plain flour

    1. Preheat your oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Cream your softened butter and golden sugar together until pale and fluffy then add your cocoa, chocolate chips and flour to the butter and sugar. Bring the mixture together into a ball.
    3. Roll the biscuit dough out on a flour covered surface and shape the biscuits however you want them (e.g. squares, rectangles or circles); transfer to the prepared baking tray.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until firm. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a little sugar. Enjoy!
