About this recipe: Feeling hungry for pizza? Well here's the thing. I tell you how to make the dough and you decide the topping. Deal? OK .

Makes: 2 medium pizzas

  • 150g strong flour
  • 50g butter
  • 1/2 sachet dried active yeast
  • 200ml warm water (not boiling hot)
  • toppings of your choice (e.g. cheese, ham)

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
  2. Rub the flour and butter together until it looks crumbly. Then you need to add the yeast and mix together. Add in the water gradually so it doesn't get too wet then mix together until it looks stiff and doughy.
  3. Finally begin to roll the dough out to whatever shape and size you want (but not too thin or it won't work). Transfer to a lightly floured pizza tray. Add toppings of your choice.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until the dough is golden brown and firm throughout, about 20 minutes. If you have added cheese, the cheese should be melted and golden brown. Remove from the oven, slice and serve.
