About this recipe: A very easy, very rich ice cream. Simply delicious served beside warm mince pies, Christmas pudding or chocolate brownies! Sprinkle with grated nutmeg for a finishing touch.


Serves: 10 

  • 475ml eggnog
  • 475ml double cream
  • 280ml sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or to taste

  1. Mix eggnog, cream, condensed milk and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions until it reaches a soft consistency that you can scoop. Transfer ice cream to a plastic container; cover surface with cling film and seal. For best results, this ice cream should be stored in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight.


Most larger supermarkets have eggnog during the lead up to Christmas or you can try this homemade eggnog recipe if you prefer to make your own.
