Floating ghosts

    30 min

So easy to make, no oven, no cake, just some biscuits from the shop, marshmallows and fondant on top! Cheesy rhyme! Such an easy recipe, if wanted you could make your own biscuits and marshmallows. Scale the ingredients up or down depending on what you need.

    Makes: 20 floating ghosts

    • 1 packet biscuits (e.g. digestives or rich tea)
    • 5 to 6 teaspoons jam or icing
    • 1 bag large marshmallows
    • 250g white fondant
    • black writing icing

    1. Take a biscuit and use icing or jam to stick a marshmallow down onto it.
    2. To create the ghostly shape, roll out the white fondant icing until 2mm thick, cut into a circle about 8 to 10cm in diameter then drape over a marshmallow. Use your fingers to shape, wave and indent the ends of it to create the illusion of floating. Remove the marshmallow from underneath, leaving the ghostly shape and return to the marshmallow on the biscuit.
    3. Add a blob of icing or jam on top of it and stick down your ghostly shape on top of it. Draw two black blobs for eyes and optionally one for the mouth. Repeat as many times as necessary depending on how many you are feeding. Enjoy!

A simple recipe in just a few steps! These are delicious, and if you opted for jam as glue, you might be looking for more flavour, but if you chose icing, it will taste just as good. Such a great recipe, and loads of fun!
