About this recipe: Simple to make treat for your pet! This recipe is great if you have old meat or over ripe fruit you need to get rid of. Before making these for your pups please check that they do not have any allergies/intolerances to any ingredients. Do not add any ingredients without checking first that they are safe for your dog to eat!

Makes: 50 doggy treats

  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 3 slices ham, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 500g plain flour

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 C / Gas 4 and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Mash your banana and add to a bowl with the egg and honey, mix until combined.
  3. Blend your ham with the coconut oil, if the mixture is too dry add vegetable oil until it forms a paste. Add the blended ham to the wet ingredients and mix again.
  4. Add your flour and baking powder to the mixture until a dough forms, roll out to 1/2cm thick and cut with a cookie cutter. Arrange on the prepared baking tray.
  5. Bake in oven until edges are golden brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool fully before serving.


This recipe is great if you want to give your dog a healthy treat. These biscuits will not firm up, and will be more cake like, please feel free to alter this recipe and let me know how it turns out! These were so good my dog ate an entire box whilst I was out, beware, store out of dog reach!
