About this recipe: This is so simple that it barely warrants a recipe, however I do find that this is almost the perfect combination for a little mashed avocado. Eat this as a healthy snack, on toast, in a sandwich, on pizza - the options are endless!

Serves: 1 

  • 1 ripe acovado
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • coarse sea salt, to taste
  • cracked black pepper, to taste

  1. Remove the stone from the avocado and turn the flesh out into a bowl; mash lightly. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until well integrated. Try to leave some good size chunks of avocado in the mixture. Serve.


In the unlikely event that you cannot finish the mixture, place in a bowl and cover with cling film so that the cling film directly covers and has full contact with the avocado, this will prevent browning. Eat within a day.
