Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Grease two (20cm) identical sandwich tins and set aside.
Sieve the flour, cocoa powder and the salt into a large bowl. Melt the dark chocolate, butter and both sugars and mix together. Then add to the large bowl. Whisk the eggs in a small bowl, then add along with the chocolate chips to the large bowl. Divide the mixture equally between the two prepared cake tins.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 to 30 minutes or until risen, firm and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
