About this recipe:You've just moved out, you can't afford a fancy spice rack like your mums, but you can't let your parents think you're existing on super noodles alone. Thus a fifteen minute pasta recipe to use the odds and ends, to suit even the most meagre of budgets.
50g cooked chicken (or other cooked meat), chopped
1/2 pepper, chopped
1 pinch salt
ground black pepper, to taste (optional)
1 pinch herbs, of your choice
1 to 2 handfuls grated cheese, of your choice

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onions and cook and stir until soft.
Bring a saucepan of water the boil over a high heat then add the pasta and cook according to the instructions on the packet until al dente.
Put the chopped tomatoes, pre-cooked meat, and vegetables of your choice in the pan with the onions and simmer for a few minutes until everything is warmed through. Season to taste and add the herbs.
Drain the pasta and spoon into a warmed bowl. Spoon the pasta sauce on top the sprinkle the cheese over. Everything should be hot enough to eat, so do that.
It really is foolproof, cook everything to your desired taste. There are plenty of vegetables you can throw in such as mushrooms or pre-boiled potatoes, and stuff like oregano or garlic goes lovely if you have it. Remember, just because you don't live at home anymore, doesn't mean you can stop eating your vegetables!:)
