    Ingredients
    Serves: 16

    • 250g unsalted butter, softened
    • 250g caster sugar
    • 5 eggs, beaten
    • 250g self-raising flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 1kg ready to roll icing
    • orange, yellow and blue food colouring
    • edible silver pearls
    • 1 tablespoon My easy peasy buttercream
    • a few liquorice allsorts
    • strawberry laces

    Method
    Prep:45min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:1hr5min

    1. Preheat the oven to 170 C / Gas 3. Grease two 20cm cake tins and one 15cm cake tin.
    2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy, then beat in the eggs, one at a time until creamy. Sift in the flour and baking powder and fold in, then add the milk and mix to loosen. Divide the mixture between the prepared tins.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of a cake comes out clean (the smaller cake will take a little less time). Remove from the oven and leave to cool completely. Cut one of the 20cm cakes to look like a cat's tail and ears.
    4. Die 990g of the ready to roll icing yellow and 10g blue. Roll out and place on the cakes. Make the blue icing like a collar and place silver pearls on it. Make the cakes look like the body of a cat.
    5. Place the prepared collar on the "cat" and add a sweet as a tag. Using the buttercream, add some sweets as the eyes, nose, whiskers and personalize it in your desired way. Use the orange food colouring to swirl to make a ginger cat. Serve and enjoy!

    Tip

You can use jam to sandwich the cakes together.
