120g quick cooking porridge oats
145g soft brown sugar
80g wholemeal flour
55g cocoa powder
40g plain flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
60g apple sauce
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
40g chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 20cm square baking tin.
Mix oats, brown sugar, wholemeal flour, cocoa powder, plain flour and baking powder together in a large bowl; mash in banana. Stir in eggs, butter, milk, apple sauce and vanilla extract; mix thoroughly until batter is smooth. Pour into the baking tin. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Bake in the preheated oven until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
