4 tablespoons dark hot chocolate powder (70% cocoa solids)
4 tablespoons chopped dates
2 tablespoons sweetener (e.g. xylitol)
1 to 2 tablespoons flavourings of your choice (e.g. brandy, liqueurs, coffee)
4 sprigs fresh mint, to serve

In a bowl, roughly mash the avocados. Add the chocolate powder, dates and sweetener of choice and mix. Put into a food processor or using a hand blender, blend well until smooth and creamy.
Mix in a tablespoon or two of any other flavouring - coffee, liqueurs, cinnamon, orange oil etc. Spoon into 4 serving bowls and chill for 1 hour. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint.
Options for non-vegans
If you want to make it lighter in chocolate taste whip a small tub of cream and mix into the pudding in step 1 - or soya cream substitute if you are going for a vegan pudding. You could also use honey instead of artificial sweetener.
