Put vol-au-vent cases, uncovered in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes 30 on high (850 watt). Remove from the microwave.
Cut the pigs in blankets in half so that once they are heated they will fit into the vol-au-vent hole. Put them in the microwave on high for 45 seconds to 1 minute but keep an eye on them, they get very hot, very quickly. Remove from the microwave.
Put each halved pig in blanket in each of the 12 vol-au-vents and add your syrup or sauce. Arrange on a platter and serve warm.
