About this recipe: These are yummy cupcakes made with Nutella®. Once cooled you can eat them plain or decorate with your favourite icing. Enjoy!

Makes: 16 Nutella cupcakes

  • 150g butter
  • 150g caster suger
  • 2 to 3 eggs
  • 150g self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons Nutella®
  • 1 splash milk

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line two 12 hole muffin tins with 16 paper cases.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy then add the eggs one a time and beat until pale and creamy. Sift together the flour and baking powder and fold into the mixture along with the Nutella® and a splash of milk. Spoon the mixture into the prepared paper cases, filling only to half way to ensure a good rise.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until risen and a skewer inserted into the centre of one of the cakes comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool. You can add you own icing if you wish.


If your cakes have sunk a bit in the middle, a great serving suggestion is to put a scoop of ice cream in the bit where it has sunk ad top it with some juicy berries :)
