Homemade garlic granules

    Making your own garlic granules take a little bit of preparation but at least you know it's 100% garlic and contains no additives or ingredients you can't pronounce! Plus 665g of fresh garlic will make about 265g of dried granules which is quite a lot and should last a long time.

    1. Preheat oven to 100 C / Gas 1.
    2. Peel the cloves of garlic.
    3. Cut into thin slices.
    4. Dry garlic slices in preheated oven for 2-3 hours or in the the sun for 3-5 days. If the garlic slices look dry and are crisp and break easily - they are ready for the next step.
    5. Use a blender or food processor to grind dry garlic slices into a fine powder.
    6. Spoon the ground garlic into a clean, sterilised jar; seal with tight-fitting lid and store in a dark cupboard.
