Healthier chocolate and banana milkshake

    This dairy free, no added sugar chocolate milkshake is made with almond milk, raw cacao powder, banana and coconut flakes. It tastes like chocolate ice cream!

    • 230ml unsweetened almond milk, or more to taste
    • 1 frozen banana
    • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
    • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes

    1. Blend almond milk, banana, cacao powder and coconut flakes together in a blender or food processor until smooth.

    The title of this recipe is misleading - Ice cream should be sweet and spoonable. This isn't. It's more like a smoothie. I ended up adding a little stevia and a scoop of protein powder and calling it breakfast.  -  24 Mar 2016  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    This was simple and delicious! My kids loved it. I had to use light vanilla almond milk (25% less sugar) because I didn't have any unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
