Apple pie smoothie

    Apple, cashew butter, cinnamon and a few other ingredients combine to make this smoothie remind you of apple pie! It's a delicious change from banana based smoothies and contains only natural sugars.

    Serves: 1 

    • 1 apple, roughly chopped
    • 40g frozen pineapple
    • 1 tablespoon cashew butter
    • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
    • 1 teaspoon milled flaxseed
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or as desired
    • 235ml unsweetened almond milk

    1. Layer apple, pineapple, cashew butter, coconut, flax meal, vanilla extract and cinnamon into a blender; add almond milk. Blend mixture until smooth.

    l followed the recipe but it came out very thick l love cashew nuts and cinnamon but unfortunately l did not like this l think it was the flaxseed that put me off thanks for sharing  -  06 Jul 2017
