About this recipe: Sauerkraut is bulked up with crunchy red and green peppers, celery and onion with a sweet, vinegary dressing. Delicious as a relish for hamburgers or hot dogs at your next bbq party!

Serves: 18 

  • 550g sauerkraut, drained
  • 75g chopped green pepper
  • 75g chopped red pepper
  • 60g chopped celery
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 180ml white vinegar
  • 200g caster sugar

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the sauerkraut, green peppers, red peppers, celery, onion, vinegar and sugar. Chill for 8 hours or overnight before serving.
