About this recipe: Use your favourite shop-bought chocolate to make your very own chocolate mini eggs. You can get creative by using melted white chocolate to paint designs on milk chocolate eggs, or you can add both white and milk chocolate to each mould to create a marbled egg effect.

Makes: 6 to 12 eggs, depending on size

  • 100g milk chocolate
  • 100g white chocolate

  1. Break up the milk and white chocolate and place each in separate bowls. Melt till smooth in a double boiler, or in the microwave using 20 second intervals and stirring between each.
  2. Spoon the chocolate into a silicone mini egg mould. You can choose to make all-white and all-milk chocolate eggs, or you can alternate spooning in white and milk chocolate to create a marbled effect.
  3. Allow the eggs to set for 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size of mould used.
