    About this recipe: This is a delicious, healthy, filling breakfast dish. If you like, you can add fried eggs to your toast for a delicious vegetarian meal.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 4 slices wholemeal or granary bread, toasted
    • 1 avocado, halved and pitted
    • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
    • 1/2 lemon, juiced
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules

    Method

    1. Scoop avocado into a bowl. Add parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic granules; mash together using a fork or potato masher. Spread avocado mixture on top of each piece of toast.

    I made this just now and it's delicious. Not too much like guacamole, great spread for toast, I had a whole wheat bagel to put mine on. My avocado was small so I halved the other ingredients.  -  05 Feb 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    Delicious! This was my first avocado toast experience, although I do eat them. I was only making for myself so changed the servings to 1. Decided to omit the oil, and used lime juice instead.
