    About this recipe: This kiwi, banana and apple smoothie is packed with high-protein chia seeds and energy boosting maca powder for a quick and easy, on-the-go breakfast.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 1 apple, roughly chopped
    • 1 banana, broken into chunks
    • 2 kiwi fruit, peeled
    • 300ml milk
    • 3 or 4 ice cubes (optional)
    • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
    • 1 teaspoon maca powder

    1. Blend apple, banana, kiwifruit, milk, ice, chia seeds and maca powder together in a blender until smooth.

    I sure liked this. Fresh and not too sweet. I used almond milk in place of cow's milk. The maca powder gives it a butterscotch sort of flavour, different and nice but being new to maca powder I only used 1/2 tsp and thought it was fine this way.
