French toast, egg bread... what ever you call it, I have the best ever recipe for you! This is an American style French toast, and utterly delicious.

- 1 medium egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 slice bread
- vegetable oil, for frying
- icing sugar

- Beat the egg and milk together, then pour them onto a plate big enough for the bread
- Soak the bread for about 1 minute on each side in the egg mixture.
- Heat a drizzle of oil in a medium frying pan. Gently lower the bread into the pan.
- Allow to cook for about 3 minutes on each side, using a fish slice to flip the bread over.
- Turn off the heat, remove the bread and place it on a clean plate. Dust it with icing sugar and enjoy!
