About this recipe: This is a recipe for dairy free soft 'cheese' made with cashew nuts, tahini and almond milk. Red pepper and garlic are added for flavour. Spread it on sandwiches or wraps.


Serves: 10 

  • 275g unsalted roasted cashews
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cloves garlic, peeled

  1. Blend cashews, oil and sugar together in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add almond milk, tahini, onion powder, salt, garlic powder and white pepper; blend until well mixed. Add red pepper, lemon juice and garlic; blend until creamy.
