About this recipe:Apple puree is a wonderful first food for baby. Use a sweeter variety of apple instead of a tart variety so that you don't need to add any sugar. After introducing apple to your baby for 2 to 3 days, you can even add a pinch of cinnamon to see if your baby likes the taste.

Place apples in a large saucepan and just barely cover with water. Simmer over medium-low heat until apples are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
Run cooked apples through a food processor or blender till smooth. Serve once cool, or freeze for later.
To freeze for later: fill an ice cube tray with the puree. Freeze for at least 2 hours, till solid. Remove cubes from tray and place in a freezer bag. To defrost, place in microwave for 30 seconds, or as needed.
My son loved it! My apples ended up being slightly tart, so it was funny to see his face - looked like he was biting into a lemon! But he kept going back for more, nonetheless! I'm going to mix some apple with carrot next. - 10 Jun 2016
